Finland vs Germany: will the favourite win?

Finland look very good at this tournament, although they have not been showing a spectacular game. The Finnish national team has a system that they stick to and so fr it has worked perfectly. In the final game of the group stage, the Finns beat Canada (3: 2 B), and in the quarterfinal, they defeated the Czech Republic. They only scored one goal against the Czechs.

The hero of the game was Jere Innala, who scored the only goal, outplaying the goaltender of the Czechs. We must also mention the actions of Juha Olkinuora, who stopped 28 shots in total, performing the first shutout.

Few expected Germany to make it to the semifinals this year. The Germans got out of the group with difficulty, beating Latvia with a score of 2:1 in a decisive match. The quarterfinal against Switzerland also wasn't going exactly well for the Germans, as they were losing 0:2 and leveled the score literally a few seconds before the end of the third period.

The result of the game was decided by shootouts, in which luck was on the side of Tony Söderholm's charges. The German team made it to the semifinals of the tournament for the first time in the last 11 years, and that is already a great achievement for them.
