Canada vs Finland: will Canada be able to score precious points?

The Canadians had a terrible start at this Championship. The team was defeated in three games in a row. Canada couldn't deal with equal opponents, such as the USA (1:5) and Germany (1:3). Also, the Canadian national team unexpectedly lost to the hosts of the tournament, Latvia, with a score of 0:2.

Later Canada redeemed themselves by scoring points against weaker opponents such as Norway, Kazakhstan, and Italy. But those points were not enough to secure a pass to the playoffs. At the moment, Canada still can leave the tournament after the group stages, especially if they lose another game.

Finland, unlike their opponent, are having a great time in Riga. The Finnish team is on the first line in the group B table with 15 points. The points were earned in five victorious games, four of which were won in regulation time. Only Kazakhstan was able to stop the Finns, beating them with a score of 2:1 in a penalty shootout.

Also, the Finnish national team could not beat Latvia in regulation time, they managed to gain the upper hand only in overtime (3:2). In general, the team is in excellent form and is a contender for the champion's title.
