Latvia vs Norway. Prediction and Betting Tips for IIHF World Championship (May 28, 2021).

Latvia climbed to the third line of the group B standings and the hosts of the Championship clearly do not plan to stop there. The Latvian national team won two out of four games and imposed a good fight on the United States, although they still lost with a score of 2:4. Before that, the Latvians beat Italy on class (3:0).

The team has to play defensively, and they have not yet scored more than two goals in a game, with the exception of the match against the Italians. Bob Hartley's charges still have good chances of getting into the quarterfinals, because they can score points in two out of three remaining games, and will probably only lose to Finland.

Norway so far won the only game at the Championship against the main outsider, Italy (4:1). In the other three games, the Norwegians lost. They had to play against Finland and Canada, and in both cases, Norway scored two goals but lost with a score of 2:5 and 2:4, respectively.

Most likely Norway will stay on the second line place. It will be very difficult for them to score points in the three remaining matches. The Norwegian players lack performance skills, and they make simple mistakes on the blue line, allowing dangerous counterattacks, and they create few good chances at the opponent's goal.
