Arsenal vs Brighton. Prediction and Betting Tips for English Premier League (May 23, 2021).

In general, this season went badly for Arsenal. They couldn't get into the Champions League by winning the Europa League trophy, as the Gunners were knocked out from the semi-final by Villarreal. The chances of making it to the Europa League next season are purely theoretical, but they can still get into the Conference League.

Arsenal are currently ninth in the standings with 58 points in the asset. Mikel Arteta's charges are four points behind the sixth place, but the gap between them and Everton and Tottenham is only one point. There is a good chance to overtake them, since the Toffees have to play Man City in the final round, and the Spurs are going to face Leicester.

Out of 18 home performances, they won only 7, recorded 4 draws, and were defeated 7 times. 

Goalkeeper Mathew Ryan cannot play against Brighton. Hector Bellerin is injured, and David Luiz's appearance is in question. 

The Seagulls do not have any motivation for the last game of the season. Brighton already secured a spot in the Premier League for next season, and at the moment, Graham Potter's team is in 16th place in the standings. They are 13 points ahead of the group of outsiders and, in case of a victory, can rise higher in the table.

However, we don't underestimate Brighton. In the last round, also without any tournament motivation, the Seagulls beat the new champion Manchester City with a score of 3:2. And they showed a really fighting character because during the game they were losing 0:2. Brighton lost three times in the last ten rounds. Moreover, the Seagulls lost all three of them away - to Manchester United (1:2), Sheffield United (0:1), and Wolverhampton (1:2).

In terms of away performance, Graham Potter's charges were 14th this season. In 18 away games, Brighton scored five victories, got the same number of draw,s and lost eight times.

Brighton have many personnel losses. Defender Neal Maupay will miss the match due to suspension. Two other defenders, Joël Veltman and Tariq Lamptey are injured. Two midfielders, Solly March and Davy Pröpper also are sidelined with injuries. Former Arsenal's Danny Welbeck is doubtful.
