Karolina Pliskova vs Petra Martic. Predictions and Betting Tips for WTA Rome

Karolina Pliskova is having a great result at Rome for the third consecutive year. In 2019 she claimed a title and in the previous season she reached the final, but lost to Simona Halep because of the injury.

In the current year Pliskova's performance at the Italian capital is not so confident. The most obvious example of that is the quarter-final against Ostapenko (4:6, 7:5, 7:6). In the third set Karolina got away from three match-points. Czech player lost seven games at her serve and made 13 double faults. Only a clumsy performance from Ostapenko on the crucial moments of the game let Pliskova to win and advance to the semi-final.

Rome tournament is the most successful for Petra Martic during this season. A cooperation with Schiavone finally paid off. Petra gained some self-confidence and now it will be hard to stop her. Moreover, Martic knows how to play against Pliskova, because Croatian player is ahead on head-to-head matches (4-2). Both head-to-head matches on clay surface ended with a win for Petra.

On her way to the semi-final of Rome tournament Martic beat Rodgers (5:7, 6:3, 6:4), Mladenovic (7:5, 6:3), Podoroska (3:6, 6:1, 6:2). In the quarter-final Croatian representative, despite all odds, beat Pegula in straight sets (7:5, 6:4).
