Bayer vs Union: Pharmacists to win again at home?

Because of a long crisis that hit Bayer in winter, Leverkusen team failed in a fight for Top-4 and the ticket to the Champions League. With two matches left in the Bundesliga Pharmacists are on the sixth place of the standings with 51 points.

Because of team's bad performance Peter Bosz was sacked and Hannes Wolf took over as the new head coach. With him in charge, Pharmacists improved their game and secured a position in the Europa League zone. In the most recent match Bayer had a goalless draw against Werder (0:0).

Towards the end of the season Union is fighting Borussia Monchengladbach for the seventh spot in the league, which gives a ticket to the new-found tournament, UEFA Conference League. The Iron Ones secured 11 wins and 13 draws, losing only eight times.

In last three games Union lost twice. They went down to Borussia Dortmund (0:2) and Wolfsburg (0:3), but between those matches they recorded a confident win over Werder (3:1) at home.
