Borussia is having a weak season - they had ambitions to fight for a title, but towards the end of the season they can only fight for a Champions League spot. Edin Terzic's team is currently on the 5th place in the standings with 55 points, only one point short of fourth-placed Eintracht, so if Dortmund will win in this game, they can get to the top-4.

After a loss to Eintracht (1:2) in a head-to-head game on Round 27 it seemed like it is impossible to break into Champions League zone, but team managed to step up in the right moment. In four games in a row Bumblebees didn't drop a point - Stuttgart (3:2), Werder (4:1), Union (2:0) and Wolfsburg (2:0) were beaten and these victories let Dortmund club to get very close to their target.

Leipzig had the same objective as their opponent before the season, but Bulls surely did better than them. Julian Nagelsmann's team is currently on the second place in the standings with 64 points, seven points behind the leader, Bayern.

That handicap would be almost impossible to overcome, but Bulls also are unlikely to lose their second spot - third-placed Wolfsburg is seven points behind. In last match Leipzig got a significant advantage in the beginning of a game against Stuttgart - Swabians were down to 10-man and couldn't resist after that.
