Buffalo finally interrupted their string of defeats, which lasted for four games. After a weak performance in away games, the Sabres came back home to finally win. They beat the islanders 4:2, and the best player of the match was centre Reinhart, who gave an assist and scored a double.

It is worth mentioning that the Islanders have already qualified for the playoffs: they can't drop below fourth place in the table.
