In the last round, the Clarets wiped out Wolverhampton away, defeating the Wolves in their den with a score of 4:0. With a win over Nuno Santo's team, Burnley ended their previous losing streak. The games against Southampton (2:3), Newcastle (1:2), and Manchester United (1:3) ended badly for the Clarets.

The win against Wolverhampton strengthened the slightly shaken position of Burnley in the league standings. Sean Deitch's team is currently in 16th place, nine points ahead of the outsiders' group led by Fulham.

The Clarets' performance at home looks rather ambiguous. On the one hand, Burnley did not lose at home lately, but on the other hand, the last time they won was way back on January 27, when they beat Aston Villa (2:1). Since then, Deitch's men have played seven games at home, five of which they drew, and lost twice - once to Newcastle, and once to Manchester City (0:2). We also should say, that at home Burnley scores very little. In 16 home games, they scored only 13 goals. Only the three outsiders have worse performance.

Due to injuries, midfielder Robbie Brady and defender Kevin Long will not be able to play today.

In the last rounds of the Premier League, the Hammers started losing: first, David Moyes' team lost to Newcastle 2:3 away, and then at home they could not use their chances against Chelsea, losing 0:1.

Two defeats in a row immediately reflected on West Ham's standings, worsening their chances for a place in the Top-4. At the moment, the London club is in fifth place in the Premier League table. The Hammers have 55 points, which is six less than Chelsea, who have already got three points in this round against Fulham. So, if West Ham is successful today, they can reduce the gap to three points.

Another thing is that West Ham performs better at home than away. In terms of home and away stats, the Hammers have a second result at home, but away they are only tenth.  In 16 away matches, the Hammers got seven victories, lost six games, and ended three in a draw. In their last five away games, West Ham have only beaten Wolverhampton (3:2), drew with Fulham (0:0), and lost to Manchester City (1:2), Manchester United (0:1), Newcastle (2:3).

Defenders Aaron Cresswell, Arthur Masuaku, midfielder Declan Rice will sit out the game due to injuries. Michale Antonio's participation is doubtful.
