Sergey Bogachuk dismantled Brian Mendoza in class last March and tried on the temporary WBC belt like a well-tailored suit. But the joy was not long-lived: in August, his path crossed with Virgil Ortiz Jr. The fight turned out to be a real thriller, with knockdowns in the first and eighth rounds from the Ukrainian. Moreover, 24 wins were by knockout.  He made his first mistake in 2021, when he lost to Brandon Adams by technical knockout. And this despite the fact that he won on the cards.

Bogachuk has the power of a good powerhouse — 115 rounds in 27 fights. He was no slouch as an amateur: the national team of Ukraine, the semi-pro league of the World Series of Boxing, three titles of the champion of Ukraine under 22, silver in the adult national championship. Height — 183 cm, arm span — 185 cm.

Michael Fox wasn't idle either. In November, he confidently outboxed Yaynel Alvarez, scoring a unanimous decision victory. Fox, 29, is a southpaw with a track record of 24 wins and four losses. However, he finished ahead of his rivals only five times. In ten years in the pro ring, he has accumulated 194 rounds. His arm span is 206 cm. This is as much as 21 centimeters more than Bogachuk's. That kind of swing is any boxer's dream, especially if you like to hold your opponent with a jab. But Fox doesn't have a crushing blow. His successes usually came in battles with proven veterans like DeMarcus Corley and Manuel Reyes.

Yes, he lost four times, but he never got knocked out. Although I've been in knockdowns, he's not made of crystal, but he's not made of titanium either. It is important to note that Fox has never fought at a weight above 149.75 pounds, and the fight with Bogachuk will be held at the limit of 154 pounds. And then problems with size and endurance can begin.
